At Kuluntu Bakery, we believe in community care—and that means ensuring everyone has access to wholesome, nourishing food. That’s why we’re proud to offer free sourdough loaves to those experiencing food insecurity in our community.
Dallas County faces one of the worst food insecurity rates in the nation, with 15.6% of residents lacking adequate access to food—far higher than the national average. In DFW, approximately 1 in 6.5 people face hunger, including 1 in 5 children. Food insecurity is especially high for food workers, those who feed our communities, with 1 in 5 experiencing hunger. These aren’t just statistics—they’re our neighbors, our friends, and members of our community.
We believe that good food should be accessible to all, not a privilege for some. Our sourdough loaves, made with care and high quality ingredients, are available free of charge to anyone in need. No questions asked, no barriers.
If you would like to contribute to this initiative, you can purchase a donation loaf for $6. This accounts for the cost of goods and labor.
