Kouign amann is a laminated French pastry from the Brittany region of France. The name derives from the Breton language words for cake (kouign) and butter (amann). It’s one of our favorite pastries! Ours is made extra flavorful with the addition of Sonora wheat from Barton Springs Mill and our seven year old sourdough starter. Layered with a pumpkin pie spice & sugar mixture and filled with our homemade pumpkin pastry cream. Garnished with caramelized pumpkin seeds.
